More kickin' back
Our little man has now started doing his "kickin' back" pose in places other than his crib. He seems to do it when he is tired and ready for bed. He has done it on his changing table, on his play blanket, and even in his highchair tonight. Here he is in his PJ's getting ready for bed.

Brown Eyes????
I have heard a lot of comments that our little man has beautiful brown eyes. While that is such a nice compliment, I really don't think he has brown eyes....at least NOT YET. They have started to change, the very inside is brown (the light reflection is covering some of it in the below picture) but most is gray/blue. I have heard it can take quite a while for them to change....I'll have to keep in EYE on them. :) I love this picture, it's currently on my desktop background.

He Likes it!!
So solid foods have been a bit of a challenge for us. Not sure what he didn't like about it. We tried everything we could think of .....different foods, consistencies, different times of the day, before/after bottles, in the highchair out of the highchair, let him play with the spoon and the food (huge mess). You name it we tried it! Finally, over a month after we first tried rice cereal, he started to eat bananas off my finger...opening up wide and eating a pretty good amount....but still didn't like the spoon. Well just a few days ago he decided he was ready!! Now he opens up wide and even dives at the spoon! Below he is eating rice cereal mixed with bananas.... in a few days we will try a new fruit or maybe sweet potatoes, hopefully I won't have to add bananas to those too :)
Ben's new ride......meet BOB
After a lot of Internet research, comparing specs, reading reviews, asking friends, in store trials, and a lot of debating on pros/cons.....we finally bought a BOB jogging stroller. As you can see from the picture it can hold 2 children. No we don't have any announcements (Ben is still only 6 months old) but some advice from several friends was to plan ahead and skip the single. We plan on this being our only double stroller as you can get a kit to put an infant seat on it. Yes it's a bit big for strolling around the mall but aren't all the double strollers? The front wheel can swivel or be locked for jogging mode. Ben and I have taken a few strolls around the block and he seems to really like it. Tomorrow we are going on our first jog....and now I am actually looking forward to working out!
Uncle Nic and Amy babysit!
Uncle Nic and Amy came to babysit Ben on Saturday night. Uncle Nic fed Ben bananas, on a spoon (big accomplishment). Then they went for a walk and played out in the porch....I think Ben was showing off how fun he could be! Here is a video Uncle Nic shot of Ben giggling :) Thanks for babysitting, you guys are the best!! Oh, and the crooked hat is apparently his home slice look :)

Bath Time with Rubber Duckie!
In the last few weeks Ben has been having a lot of fun at bath time! He started by kicking his legs in the water but now he figured out how to use his hands to splash the water. The first time he did it I was so wet I had to change my shirt afterwards! I thought it was time to get him his first bath toy.... a rubber duckie!! He tries to reach for it and when he does manage to catch it he likes to try to eat him. Here are a few pictures!!
The calm before the storm....

This is when the waves start and the splashing begins....

See the droplets in the air???

Kickin' Back and Relaxed!
So these pictures are a few weeks old, but had to share how Ben sleeps every night (naps too!). When he was a baby he slept with his hands above his head. He looked like a referee signaling that the field goal was good. He would even manage to get his arms out of his swaddle blankets so he could put them up. Finally we just left his arms out all the time. Sometime around 3 or 4 months he started to put his hands behind his head. It's so cute to lay him down and watch him put his hands back and get comfortable. I think it looks like he is kickin' back and relaxed. Funny Little Man!!
Only a few weeks old....
