Kids new playset

The kids new playset was finally installed last Friday!  We had bought it right after a snowstorm in April and scheduled the install 2 weeks out hoping the weather would be nice by then but then had to move the installation date back another week due to bad weather.  Friday was an awesome day, it was done by 5pm so the kids got to play with it a little although they forgot the third swing (thanks LaMar and MaryJo for picking it up on Saturday).  Even though it was cold this weekend the kids still got outside to play and they love all swinging at the same time.  They each have a swing adjusted to their height :)

Ben's first soccer game

We signed Ben up for a 5 week soccer program.  We were lucky with the weather both of the first nights.  He has done pretty well.  The first week the challenge was to learn to not touch the ball.  The second week I think the challenge was once someone else had the ball he needs to learn to "go get it".   I am going to buy a net for the backyard so we can practice for next week.

The girls are great soccer fans.  Last year it was really hard to keep them off the baseball field but this year they sit on the sidelines nicely.  It's nice so mommy and daddy can enjoy watching Ben!

First warm Friday

The first warm Friday we had Chris came home early we were excited to get the kids new bikes out.  Ben did good, got it right away, although took one spill early on and I think that scared him a little.  He did a few passes on the sidewalk but then decided it was more fun to play baseball and so did the girls.  Allison has a pretty good swing!  They were so quickly off the bikes I didn't even get any pictures :)

Ben's new room is finally done!

Ben was growing out of his toddler bed so back in January we started to redo his room.  His crib converted into a double bed so we just needed to buy a mattress.  We convinced him that doing a sports/baseball theme was a good one.  He loved it, and we liked that he won't grow out of a sports theme for a lot longer than he would other things.  He sleeps great in his new bed.  We sit in his bed with the girls to read books every night.

We also got him to actually start using covers.  He would never want a sheet or blanket on him, only his McQueen blanket.  With the new sports sheets and a blue blanket (his favorite color) that I found last week he was finally convinced that covers were good!  This weekend we finally put some baseball theme pictures on the walls including a picture of Target Field above his bed :)
