The girls aren't very good at sharing toys but apparently they like sharing food :)

The girls are walking!

The girls have been taking just a few steps for a few weeks but it hadn't been more than that until the last few days.  Samantha started to take off first, walking from one end of the room to the other and when she would fall down she would get right back up and do it some more.  Allison started a couple days later (just yesterday).  When she started she really took off too!  That is all she wants to do now, practice her walking.  I wasn't sure she was going to be able to fall asleep last night she seemed so excited! 

Busy Busy August

August has been our busiest month of the summer.  Chris and I have each had separate girls/boys weekends which included some golf, spa, scrapbooking (I am sure you can guess who did what).  We also had our longest weekend away from the kids since the girls were born (2 whole nights!).  It was nice to sleep in, run without pushing 3 kids in a stroller (wow, quite a difference), sit out on the deck for awhile and then off for a great time at a friends wedding in Stillwater (thanks so much mom and dad for taking the kids!).  Here are a few pictures...the first two are from when Amy watched the kids.  Can't thank her enough for watching the kids so I could do some scrapbooking!!  The last are from the wedding this past weekend.

Touch a Truck day

We took Ben and the girls to "Touch a Truck" day in Chaska.  They had all sorts of city vehicles and the kids could sit in all of them!  They also had bouncy houses, games, food, and ice cream!  Ben had a blast checking them all out and touching every button and pulling every lever.

We got 2 ice cream cones between the 3 of us.  One vanilla and one chocolate, Ben apparently favors the chocolate, just like his mommy!

Uncle Nic and uncle Ryan came over for burgers the other night and after dinner we went outside so Ben could show them how he could hit a homerun off his tee.  I think daddy and the uncles ended up having as much fun as Ben did (I hit a ball or two myself).  The girls were the cheering section and at one point Allison decided to join in.  After I took the girls in for baths and bed the boys continued to play and often Ben was off doing other things while the big boys played baseball.   By the end we had one very dented wiffle ball that ended up in the neighbors yard that was fenced in and then their dog got it.

The girls had their 1 year pictures taken recently.  I LOVED how they turned out.  Samantha with her big brown eyes and Allison with her beautiful smile :)  Here are my favorites:

The 1 year stats

The girls had their 1 year check up today and it went great!  The doctor actually used the word "perfect" about my girls.  (not that I didn't already know that but the comment sure made this mama proud).  The girls let her check out their ears, eyes, teeth, and listen to their heart/breathing.  They were very cooperative and charming :)
