House projects update

We are on week 3 of our house projects and only a few finishing touches to be completed this weekend other than that we are done!!  Here are some pictures...

We had this poly/plastic hanging from the ceiling in the entry way for about a week to try and contain the dust.  It is still everywhere (the dust that is).

Flooring pulled out of the mudroom

Counter tops and sink gone!

New cabinets above the washer dryer, goes all the way to the ceiling, lots of storage!
New tile floor in mudroom
Top half of lockers - lots of storage

Bottom half of the lockers - shoe storage

Kitchen is done, new counter tops, back splash, and sink!

Close up of counter tops

Closeup of back splash...LOVE how this turned out!

Previously the loft, now another bedroom.  Allison is already napping there instead of in the basement.

Pictures of the kids

So we are seeing the difference between girls and boys :)  My girls love to put on their clothes, get dressed, try on shoes, hats, mittens, they ask for a bow in their hair.  The girls will randomly ask for hats and mittens so we pull out the bin of hats and mittens and then we play.  Then we complete the ensemble with McQueen slippers....so stylish!

Here are a few pictures I took about a month ago.  A fun play area I took the kids.  They loved it, and so did mommy since it wasn't very busy and kept them well contained!

Been busy....oh so busy!

So sorry for my lack of posting anything in February.  We have been terribly sick since mid January.  We have had 5 trips to the doctors and have had 2 ear infections, bronchitis, sinus infections, possible pneumonia, and lots of colds.  Luckily the girls have been spared from the worst of it.

In the midst of that we have been planning our house projects....turning the loft into a bedroom, granite counter tops with a tile back splash, and tearing out a closet to put in lockers.  The construction started Saturday morning.

We also managed to get away for a few days to the ocean and sun.  I went along with Chris to a conference in Fort Lauderdale and sat by the pool for two days and read books and drank tropical drinks.  It was wonderful!

Breakfast on our terrace overlooking the pool and ocean!
