Family outing to the ballpark

We took the kids to the Twins game last night.  We sat out in left center in the first row.  The girls were not all that interested in the game, but Ben was very interested in the big jumbo-tron and the pictures of the ballplayers and scores.  I was trying to bribe them to let me take some pictures and then we would get them some popcorn.  The twins did win and we saw one really good inning before we left at the top of the 8th.

Ben liked looking at the scoreboard, Chris was teaching him what all the numbers meant.

Waterpark Capital of the World!!

We spent last week in the Wisconsin Dells at Kalahari Resort with two other families.  Six adults and 4 kids (we only brought Ben).  Ben barely met the height requirement for some of the slides so the girls wouldn't have been able to do anything besides the kiddie pool (which was pretty cool).  We had pretty nice weather.  Spent the first two days at the outdoor waterpark.  Saturday was not as warm so we did the indoor waterpark in the morning and then the indoor amusement park in the afternoon.

Ben had a blast in the water, on the slides, and playing with the other kids.  It was fun to do something special with just Ben.  Made it easier for Chris and I to catch up with our friends only having one kid to watch :)  In the evenings we went out for dinner, and one night walked through downtown Dells.  We had a really fun time and can't wait until the kids are a little older so we can bring them all!

The big slides.  The yellow one on the right was the one we could do with Ben

The "lazy river" Ben liked this too, we did several laps each day!

Girls birthday - Como Zoo

The girls actual birthday was Tuesday July 23rd.  We took them to the Como Zoo in Saint Paul.  We started with the animals.  The kids liked the monkeys, penguins, tiger, giraffes, and the polar bear exhibit was really cool!  After lunch we the kids went on a few rides!

Checking out the Penguins
This was the monkey exhibit
Giraffes were really cool
Ben wanted the blue car (there was no pink car for Samantha)
Allison wanted to drive the purple car
Caboose ride
I thought this ride would be too scary for Ben but he really wanted to do it.  He loved it and said it was his favorite ride.  My baby boy isn't a baby anymore!

Our Pinkalicious girls turn 3 Years Old!!

We decided on a Pinkalicious Birthday Party for the girls.  They really have no favorites, they like everything....Dora, Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell, Cinderella, even Lightning McQueen and Thomas the Train :)  They love the Pinkalicious and Purpleicious books we got them for Christmas last year and we gave them each a new one Emeraldalicious and Silverlicious to add to the collection.

Pintrest had some cute ideas for the party.  I spent a night at Archiver's making a birthday banner and door sign color appropriate.  I ordered cute customized shirts for the girls.  We had pink lemonade, watermelon, and strawberries like in the Pinkalicous Lemonade book, and we of course had the infamous pink cupcakes which is how Pinkalicious turns pink.  I also had a plate of green food which is how Pinkalicous turns back to normal.  However, bummer I forgot to take a picture of my cool pink/green food setup.

The girls had a great time.  Loved all the fun girly gifts and have been playing with all of it since the party.  Thank you to our family for making it such a special day!!

Birthday girls!
