Busy kiddo's

Just some pictures from around the house...

Mama's birthday...Ben was excited to help me blow out the candles but more importantly eat the cake!

Trying to get the girls dressed, Allison won't cooperate, rolling over as soon as you put her down.

Samantha's new favorite toy!

Waiting for their turn for a bath!

Elmo and the gang

This past weekend we took Ben to see Sesame Street Live, Elmo's Healthy Hero's.  Ben had no idea what he was in for.  Before it started all he wanted to do was climb the stairs in the Target Center but the second it started he was mesmerized!  Chris said he didn't think Ben even blinked for the first 20 minutes!  His favorites are Elmo, Big Bird and Cookie Monster.  They sang Twinkle Twinkle which is also one of his favorites.  Here are some pictures....we were on the floor in the 7th row.  Some of the characters would come down the isle and we tried to get Ben to look but he wouldn't take his eyes off the stage!!

Ben mesmerized....

Girls pictures

The girls had their pictures taken before Christmas so we could give family pictures for Christmas.  Here were my favorites....

New Years Eve - celebrating!

New Years Eve we spent over at our neighbors house again this year.  Unfortunately we were missing some folks due to illness but Ben and Maddy and Taylor (not pictured) had a good time!  They had fun playing together while moms and dads got a chance to talk and have some pizza and champagne to celebrate.  The girls were upstairs in bed....or more accurately they were sleeping on the floor in their sleep sacks because they really aren't going to get very far anyway :)  Ben and Maddy loved the horns...Maddy was a little upset for awhile until she figured it out.  Ben blew them so hard so many times he broke a few :)  We didn't make it to midnight...we didn't even try.  We just pretend it's New Years earlier and then go home and go to bed at a decent hour.  Guess that means we are getting old :)  I kept trying to get Ben to say "Happy New Year" and all he would say is "Happy Birthday Ben".  After awhile he thought he was pretty funny!

Ben and Maddy blowing their New Years horns...check out Ben's cheeks!

Watching for the paper horn to roll out.

Cheeks all puffed out again!

The girls - new skills

The girls have been busy lately...practicing lots of new skills.  The have both rolled over, Allison both ways, and Samantha front to back.  They both have found their feet and like to chew on them which makes changing diapers difficult sometimes :)  They like to play with toys... they grab them and put them their mouths.  They will grab other things too...daddy's glasses, mama's hair, the spoon when I am trying to feed them.  Yes, food.....we started just yesterday.  Samantha was ready.... she seemed to still be hungry when the bottle was finished so on to rice cereal.  It is about time anyway, they turn six months shortly!  It went very well with Samantha, she caught on and liked it right away, Allison not so much.  She stuck out her pouty little lip at me and refused to open her mouth after the first bite.  Very similar to what Ben did....at least one of them was easy!  Here are a few picture from the last month or so.

Allison so close to rolling over all the way.  She was on her back and everything is turned over but that darn elbow is still in the way!   She did eventually get it that night.

Early December Samantha found her feet.

Chewing on her feet while I changed her diaper.

The star is Samantha's favorite part of the exersaucer, she loves to chew on it.

The girls playing on the ground.  Allison is a little wiggle worm....she turns 180 degrees in her crib at night.   I think Samantha is looking at me like....mama my sister is being mean to me....and so it begins :)  They steal toys from each other already too :)

Allison more chewing on her toes.  Naked because in the last week she has had several changes of clothes and impromptu baths due to blowouts.   Ahhh the joys :)

Samantha before her first rice cereal

After....Ben was pretty intrigued by the babies getting food.
