Rollover

So the little man never really wanted to rollover......OR maybe I just never had the right incentive! The other night in front of both mom and dad, he rolled over to get a toy! He has been so close since he was 4 months old but could never quite get over. There is no doubt now.... he did it 3 times that night, and again for this video. I guess we just have to put the right toy out of his reach! So fun!

Funny Noises

Little Man made these two noises for a few weeks recently. He would entertain himself with these noises in the back seat of the car. Noise #1 was first, I told him it wasn't very good manners to make this noise out in public. Then came noise #2 (and usually louder than the video). After that I told him noise #1 was just fine :) I haven't heard either one in a few days. He's is either on a break or onto other things... after spending a lot of time in the last two weeks with daddy now he says da-da. Ummmm where's the love Ben? I'm here all the time!!

Little Man and his NUK's

The other morning when I went to get him up this is what I found.....funny little boy, he discovered the extras we keep in the corner of his crib :)

Baby proofing has begun!

So we did start baby proofing the house. Well...we bought the supplies anyway, everything still needs to be installed. However one thing we did do was put the coffee table down in the basement and bought some soft ottomans instead. Safer for him, more room for us to play, and they work as storage too. He loves to stand now and these are the perfect height for him (he likes to chew on the edges too, hope drool doesn't hurt the leather). I love the pictures below, him looking up at the ottoman thinking how am I going to get up there!? Then waving his hands all excited....he finally got up there (with mom or dad's help of course)!

Little man is doing the worm!!

No, Uncle Nic did not teach him (although he is the pro) he figured it out all on his own! Ben does a push up which pushes him backwards, then he falls down on his belly and does another push up moving him backwards again, he will do it over and over again until he hits the wall, furniture, etc. The day I took these pictures (it was right before bath time) he started in his room and pushed himself all the way out of his room into the hallway! We had to turn him then or he would have gotten stuck in the railing. He has also started to get up on all 4's....it won't be long now. We better get that baby proofing done!

My how they have grown!!

Ben and Ellaina are only 5 weeks apart.... last time we got them together was the end of March and we took some cute pictures but they weren't really ready to play together. Well this time they played together for quite a while, sharing toys, smiling at each other, talking to each other.... it was so fun to watch them together!! Next time they will probably be crawling or walking around together!! It was so much fun to see you guys, thanks for coming over!!

Little Man's first Twins Game!!

Sunday we took Ben to his first Twins game with Grandpa Dave!! He looked a little scared at first, not sure what to think about all the commotion. Soon he was looking around checking everything and everyone out. In the first few innings Gomez hit a grand slam and the dome went nuts....that definitely scared him but after the noise died down he was having fun again. He even did the wave!! We didn't stay the whole game, left in the 7th inning but the Twins did win (for Ben of course). On the way home he crashed ....very tired from missing his afternoon nap!

Fun 4th of July Weekend!!

We had an AWESOME 4th of July weekend! We had lots of fun family time and did a lot of "firsts" with Ben...starting with a bike ride in his new trailer, a picnic in the park, playing in his first kiddie pool, hanging out at St. Anthony Main with Grandpa Staloch and Uncle Nic, and fireworks on a friends rooftop (thanks Linds for inviting us!). We love doing new things with Ben and seeing how he reacts..... such fun and wonderful moments I hope to always remember!! We took a ton of pictures so it was hard to narrow them down to just a few!

Ben's First Pool! It took him a little while to warm up to the pool.....we put a few of his toys in it including his rubber duckie in hopes that it would look like more fun! I sat in it first and Chris handed Ben to me....he stood on my lap so only his feet were in the water, then he sat down on my lap and got his legs wet, soon he was standing trying to reach all his floating toys and after awhile he was sitting in the pool playing and splashing with dad by his side!

Ben's First Bike Ride! Our little man loves to go for stroller rides so I figured he would like the bike trailer too....well he sure did! We went for a little ride on the trails around Victoria and stopped for a snack (a.ka. bottle). We brought along a few toys for him but he really likes to just look around on walks/rides. By the time we got home he had fallen asleep............ guess it's pretty comfortable in there!

Little Man's new trick!

Well not exactly new....he's been doing it for a few weeks now but I finally got it on camera/video. He knows how to put the Nuk back in his mouth all by himself! If it's anywhere in the area he will find it and put it in his mouth. He even knows how to turn it around so it's right side up! One day when I put him down for a nap he had one in his mouth but there was also an extra in the crib. When I got him up he had the extra one in his mouth and was playing with the one he started with. Funny little man!!
