Staloch Family Campout

We headed down to Faribault this weekend for the annual Staloch family campout.  We just came to visit for the evening and have burgers and hot dogs (there will be no camping for this mama and 3 little kids).  The kids loved it.  Papa and MaryJo had  mini chairs for the kids, they love them (especially the folding and opening them part) thank you!  They played at the park, and played some lawn games, and their favorite was probably playing in Papa's tent :)

Driving?!

The kids (especially Ben) seem to be much to interested in driving.  Ben's friend Addison has a Barbie Jeep that she drives over once in awhile and picks Ben up.  She has let him drive it before and he loves it.  While waiting in line at preschool two weeks ago he was asking which pedal made it go and which one made it stop, then asking me where the shifter should go......uh oh.  I keep telling him he can't drive until he is as big as me.  Even Allison and Samantha want to crawl up into mommy's seat and drive when it's time to get out of the car.

The girls first Twins game!!

We took the girls to their first Twins game last week.  Uncle Nic came along so we were 1-1 with the kids.  Helps when you have to carry them all the way from the parking lot!  They all seemed to have a great time.  They were constantly up and down on the chairs and our laps.   They were really good about clapping when everyone else was, especially Samantha :)  I think their favorite part was the snacks and the mascot TC the bear.  The game was great, lots of hits and we won!!

Funny girl Samantha

Funny story on the last picture....I was having a mommy drink and it had a straw in it.  I licked the straw off so she could play with it (anything to keep them busy for several hours at a baseball game).  She proceeded to dip the straw back in my drink and then lick it off....duh mommy...just like you did it!  The guy next to me got a chuckle :)

Daddy's Birthday

I think the best part of the day was when Ben ran into our room at 7am and said "Daddy it's your birthday today!"  So cute, and mommy was still half asleep so this was not a prompt by me.  We had talked about it the few days prior but how fun to wake up to that :)

Chris decided what would be fun to do on his birthday was take the kids to the pool at the gym.  So that's what we did and Uncle Nic came along too which was nice then we had 1 adult per kid!  I couldn't believe how brave the girls were, in particular Samantha.  She walked right in up to her chin and would jump off the edge by herself....no fear we are going to have to keep an eye on that one :)  Ben was much more brave this year too.  He is so much taller than last year so he could play a lot more by himself and of course he love to jump off the edge too!

After the pool fun we came home for naps (all of us).  Then we took the kids out for dinner on Lake Minnetonka.  The weather was beautiful.  We stopped on the way home to get some birthday cupcakes.  Ben was very concerned about having something to put candles in for daddy's birthday.  We did it after the girls went to bed.  Allison can't eat the cupcakes anyway (baked goods, cross contamination with nuts).  Ben wanted to make a wish before he helped daddy blow out the candles and when I asked him what he wished for he said "cupcakes".

Visit to the Zoo

During daddy's week off we took the kids to the Minnesota Zoo...

I think the fishes were their favorite thing to look at

Water Fun over Memorial Day weekend

Over Memorial Weekend we filled up the kids new pool!  We also visited with some friends and did some playing/swimming in Lake Minnetonka.  The water was really cold but the kids loved it anyway!

Ben couldn't get enough and was upset when it was time to empty the pool
