The kids dressed up as the Sesame Street gang tonight for Halloween. They have been wearing their costumes on and off for at least a week now. They were very excited to get dressed up and go trick or treating. They did really good walking from house to house and saying their "trick or treats" and "thank you's". When we got home we dumped everything out (I should have taken a picture of it all) but we quickly sorted out all the items with peanut butter and peanuts before they tried to eat anything. We let them all pick two and put the rest away but of course they kept asking for more. Candy makes my kids act crazy.....we are going to try taking the candy to the dentist for their "buy back program" tomorrow. They will give kids cash for the candy and then we can take them to Target to pick out a toy (even if I have to chip in a few more $$). It will be much easier then arguing with the kids every day about why they can't have candy for breakfast, snack, lunch, and everything in between :)
When the kids got back home Ben liked handing out candy to the kids that came to the door. He was really good about handing out two pieces of candy to each trick or treater. They all had a blast this year, and it was so fun to watch them :)
