We had a busy but fun 4th of July week! We started off buying Daddy a new Honda Accord! We had our old Honda Accord for 9 years and it was over 150,000 miles. The sales lady said we didn't look like we were old enough to have owned a car for that long :) She was probably just trying to butter us up so we would buy a car from her but it worked we did. Daddy and Ben wanted a blue car but they didn't have the one he wanted so instead we came home with red. It's not as dark as this picture shows. It's looks sharp and it's fun to drive. The kiddos all took turns taking a ride in the car, we only have one car seat in daddy's car. If you look close in the back it's Samantha.

On the 4th of July we had many visitors! In the morning Grandma and Grandpa Trask. Then we got ready for our evening picnic with our friends Lindsay and Gregg and their son Jack. After they left our old neighbors the McCormicks came over to watch the neighborhood fireworks display. The kids loved it, running around with the neighborhood kids. Our girls found some older girls to play with and make friends with. They all had a blast!

We planned one day of recovery from staying up late for the fireworks. Then on Saturday we headed over for a lake day with some friends. The kiddos played on the beach, swam in the lake, and played ball with the other kids. Ben swam (with a life jacket on) back and forth from the dock to a raft OVER, and OVER and OVER again. Good practice for swimming lessons! After swimming we grilled out and enjoyed relaxing by the lake. Awesome time!
