Celebrating 10 years in Kauai, Hawaii

If I had to pick one reason why I got so far behind on the blog, this would be it.  I felt like it took me a few weeks to get prepared and it took more time to prepare for the kids than it did to pack my own bag.  Then after we got home, of course you always feel behind on things and I felt like it took another month to catch up on things.  So finally, I have gotten through the hundreds of pictures I have taken since the end of September!  I did manage to learn a new trick in photoshop so hopefully the pictures on the blog will load faster from now on :)

Hawaii was relaxing, gorgeous, and amazing.  We appreciate vacations (and alone time in general) so much more now than we did before we had 3 little people demanding our attention 24-7.  We didn't do very much so there isn't much of a story to tell.  Most days we slept in as long as we could but with the 5 hour time difference we were usually up by 6:30am which gave us time to exercise and try some yoga before breakfast.  One morning we even did a beachside sunrise yoga class!  We then would head to the pool to read, swim, drink tropical drinks and just relax!

We did venture off the resort two days.  One day for a drive up to Waimea Canyon, and another day to do stand up paddleboarding, which is really hard in the ocean!

Thanks so much to our family that made this possible.  We truly appreciated it and had a wonderful time spending the week together.  It's more time than we have had alone since before the kids were born!  Mahalo!

Sunrise on the first morning.  We were up at 5:30 waiting for a place to open for breakfast.

Out for dinner to our favorite restaurant from our honeymoon.

More pics from our balcony.  We spent lots of time out on our deck enjoying the view.
